BIM4EEBBIMcpd stands for BIM Constraint Checking, Performance Analysis and Data Management. The tool is a user-friendly self-intuitive software suite designed to reduce processing time for constraint checking, increase building energy performance knowledge, standardise building energy data and help users to make informed and better decisions.
The software is developed for Building Services Designers, MEP engineers, M&V Practitioners, Energy Auditor, Building Energy Managers, ESCO’s, Research Performing Organisations. It provides three main functionalities, the Constraint Checking Tool, the Performance Evaluation Tool and the Data Management Tool.
The Constraint Checking Tool allows the identification of possible positions of ducts and cable runs, the definition of fire zones and the design of fire detection and control systems, and an easer design of switches and sockets.
The Performance Evaluation Tool offers a data viewer showing data from Building Automation Control Systems purposes. Such data include all the information useful for the Measurement and Validation process, from energy performance results to users’ feedback on comfort. The tool shows data through graphs or in numeric form, and results can be exported in various formats.
The Data Management Tool aims at linking the information stored in different relational database management systems, through mapping and sharing of data. Thanks to this alignment, data can be then validated and exported in Linked Data compatible formats.
